Monograms: Custom or Semi-Custom

When it comes to monograms the possibilities are endless.  It is possible to create a semi-custom monogram by combining different stock embroidery fonts or adding different stock elements that are unique from the original font or design.  As monogram artists, we offer monogram selections where we have combined two different fonts to create a new monogram style or we have added different elements to make a monogram unique and these are what I call semi-custom monograms.  The monogram below is a monogram style we offer combining two different fonts, in this case Arabesque 7 and 8.

A truly unique, custom monogram is when the design is created from scratch.  Parts of the design could be from a stock design source and letters and/or designs are created from scratch to create a custom design or all letters and elements can be created for a custom design.  The monogram below started with the M and G from Shuler Studio's Monogram Chic fonts and the B was created separately and the whole design was re-digitized to stitch properly.
